The Chalfonts School buys textbooks for Makeni

The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School in High Wycombe has raised funds to buy English, maths, science and social studies textbooks for their link school, Holy Trinity Junior Secondary School in Makeni. The students and staff in Makeni are delighted with the new books, and The Chalfonts have sent out a poster to their school community showing what has been achieved. New motorbike for Education Secretary Alex

EWA has bought a new motorbike for Bo Education Secretary Alex Puhindei, as his previous bike broke down permanently after 5 years of heavy mileage on bumpy roads travelling to schools across the Diocese. Alex did detailed research to identify a bike which combines good value with reliability. Trustee raises £1,700 from half marathon

EWA Trustee Vicky Smith and her daughter Rachel successfully completed the Robin Hood half marathon at the end of September, and through sponsorship raised over £1,700 to support schools in Sierra Leone. This was a big challenge, and EWA would like to thank them both for such an amazing fundraising achievement. Well done!
