Roof replacement completed at Damballa Road

A classroom block at Damballa Road School in Bo has been given a new roof in time for the new school year in September, thanks to the generosity of EWA supporters. The workers were determined to complete the roof before the rains arrived. The EWA logo has now been painted on the school to complete the project. Thank you to everyone who contributed to ensuring that these classrooms will not be flooded again. -
St Andrew's Fellowship helps Damballa Road School

St Andrew's Fellowship, a group based at St Andrew's Church in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, recently hosted a talk from Trustee Amanda Healey. The event raised £126 for EWA, and this money, combined with other recent donations, has already been sent to Sierra Leone. It is being used to reroof a classroom block at Damballa Road School in Bo, where children were unable to complete a test at the end of term because their classroom had been flooded by -
New roof being installed at Kangahun Primary School

SLC Primary School Kangahun, in Moyamba District, was in a very poor condition, and EWA was asked to help improve the learning environment before the children return to school in September. The school had a number of problems: leaking roofs, shattered ceilings, cracks in the walls and rusty window mesh. A detailed estimate of work needed was provided, and Trustees decided unanimously that this should be our next priority. As soon as funds allowed, the money was sent, and work
