St Andrew's raises £1,432 through Lent Giving

St Andrew's Church in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, raised an amazing £1,432 for EWA through their Lent Giving. Lent is traditionally a time when people give things up, and donate the money to charity. Members of the congregation at St Andrew's were invited to make donations to EWA to support the rebuilding of St Mathias School in Lunsar, and we would like to thank them for their exceptional generosity. This will make a tremendous difference to the education -
Easter raffle raises £314

St Mary's Church in Pulborough has raised a fantastic £314 for EWA by holding an Easter raffle, organised by committee member Susie Hindman and Chair of Trustees Alyson Heath. First prize was the Easter hamper shown in the photograph. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket. -
New link school on the Isle of Wight

Oakfield CE Primary School on the Isle of Wight has been linked with SLC Coronation Field in Bo. Trustee Amanda Healey visited Oakfield in March to lead an assembly about Sierra Leone, showing photos including some of Coronation Field, and the children responded enthusiastically. They asked lots of questions and enjoyed trying on clothes from Sierra Leone. Deputy Headteacher Mrs Doyle had already created a display board about the link, and Education Secretary Alex was delighted to see his photograph
