New roof at primary school in Kenema

EWA has funded a new roof for a block of classrooms at a primary school in Kenema. The roof leaked during the rainy season, so that the children's learning was badly disrupted. A detailed estimate for the work was sent to EWA, so the Trustees knew exactly what was required. Work to replace the roof then began as soon as the money had been raised, with the children sharing classrooms so their education was not interrupted. The children and their teachers are delighted with their new roof and the improvement to their learning environment.

The children were squashed into other classrooms while the work took place, so their learning could continue.
EWA is delighted to have enabled this work to take place at Mission Road Primary School in Kenema.
The children can now learn in dry classrooms during the rainy season.
