Bopani school completed
The new school for the children of the remote village of Bopani has now been completed, and the whole community is delighted. The children of Bopani used to have to learn in a small thatched hut, but now have a proper building with three classrooms and an office/store. This has been a major project because of the remote location of the village, and Education Secretary Alex Puhindei has had to be very creative to find ways of transporting building materials to the site (see news items on 26th June and 6th July 2024). Members of the community helped with some of the labour in the early stages to keep costs down. We are now fundraising to provide furniture for the school, which is is a very poor community in Pujehun district. Thank you to all our supporters for helping EWA complete this important project.
